Nairobi National Park

Nairobi National Park is located 13 km (8 mi) south of Amani Gardens. The park is run by the Kenya Wildlife Service.

NNP has a large and varied wildlife population. It’s possible to see rhinos, lions, hippos, hyenas, giraffe, zebra, Water Buffalo, monkeys and 400 bird species. There are no elephants. The best time to arrive is between 6:00-6:30 am. If you only have a short time in Nairobi this is a perfect safari option.

You can drive a non-4X drive on the main roads and a 4X drive on the paths. It’s possible to hire a 10 passenger van for 4 ½  hours for 8700 shillings from Just Connections

The Main Gate is located on Langata Road.

There is a vehicle fee up to around 1200/= for most personal vehicles.
